NEET SS 2023 counselling

In a recent development, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) has announced a revised schedule for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Super Speciality (NEET SS) counseling round 2. This update brings forth significant changes, necessitating the attention of aspiring candidates.

Commencing on December 5, 2023, the registration process for NEET SS counseling round 2 is set to unfold. Aspiring candidates must complete their registration on the official MCC website mcc.nic.in before the deadline on December 10. This round offers a crucial opportunity for those who did not secure seats in the initial round and have completed their National Board Examination (NBE).

The option-filling window, a pivotal phase in the counseling process, spans from December 6 to 10. During this period, candidates can meticulously select their preferred courses and colleges for potential allocation. A crucial aspect introduced in this round is the option-locking feature, set to activate on December 10, 2023.

This second round of counseling covers a spectrum of programs, including Doctor of Medicine (MD)/Master of Surgery (MS), Doctorate of Medicine (DM), and Master of Chirurgiae (MCh) across central, state, and deemed universities.

Simultaneously, the MCC has extended the reporting deadline for the first round of NEET SS counseling until November 30. Previously, individuals designated seats in the first round were required to report to their designated institutes by November 24.

To initiate the NEET SS 2023 counseling registration, candidates need to make a non-refundable online payment of ₹5,000. Additionally, a security deposit of ₹2,00,000 is mandatory, which will be adjusted against the academic fees for candidates securing a seat through the counseling process. Notably, in the event of a candidate not securing a seat or choosing to opt out post seat allotment, the deposit amount will be refunded.

During the counseling process, candidates are required to present a set of essential documents. These include the NEET SS 2023 admit card, NEET SS 2023 result/scorecard, MBBS degree certificate, MD/MS/DNB degree certificate, permanent registration certificate for MBBS/MD/MS/DNB issued by NBE, Higher Secondary Certificate/Birth Certificate as proof of birth, and a valid photo ID proof (PAN card/Driving License, Voter ID, Passport/Aadhar Card).

With these critical updates, candidates are urged to stay abreast of the revised schedule and ensure a seamless and successful participation in the NEET SS 2023 counseling process. The MCC remains committed to facilitating a transparent and efficient allocation of seats, ultimately shaping the future of aspiring super-specialty medical professionals.
